Bicentennial mural unveiled

Designed by Wolf Lake resident Daniel McDonald, Albion citizens gathered for the unveiling of a new mural downtown recently.

The project was completed through a partnership with the Albion S.T.A.R. Team and with the guidance of USF Assistant Professor and Program Director of Studio Art Tim Parsley. McDonald, a student of the University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne, created a tribute to the rich heritage of the Noble County region. Albion has dubbed the work the "Bicentennial Mural". It can be seen on the south side of the former Town Hall at 110 S. Orange Street, now occupied by the Noble County Economic Development Corporation.

McDonald works in watercolor, acrylics, oils, sculpture, abstracts, still life and portraits. For his work, he was awarded an art studio on campus to complete the project.
